Ceramic Mug Pair SECTION – Handmade from stoneware with an architectural design language

The SECTION mug pair explores the principle of connecting two different shapes. Inspired by architectural bodies and constructive relationships, a mug pair is created whose silhouettes are coordinated with each other and fit together like two elements of a spatial puzzle.

One mug is characterised by its distinctive, centred shape: the silhouette narrows in the middle and opens up again at the top and bottom to clearly defined edges. The second mug is the counterpart – not as an identical repetition, but as a complementary form that only unfolds its full effect in interplay with the first.

The two mugs represent the architectural principle of belonging together: different elements can form a harmonious unit through their shape, their spacing, and their transitions. Together they form a balanced pair; viewed individually, each mug remains a distinct design object.
